Well it isn't the only reason - but one of the reasons Salem James Little got his name was because of Salem the lead dog! Because his dad was covering the Iditarod for Cabelas and his mom loves sled dogs, this adorable baby boy was named Salem! Okay, there are some other good reasons but you can check out the website cabelasiditarod.com and get the scoop. Very fun! I am still in shock that Salem not only won the Iditarod, but that he now can wear that Golden Harness Award... and now even babies are being named in his honor! I am sending Jon and Brandi a copy of the book as soon as it comes out.
